techie story book
The technical revolution in the 90’s really gave the toy industry a drastic change. The new generation toys nowadays are so techie. Some of them don’t look like toys anymore.
I came to a toy store yesterday to get a gift for my niece this thanksgiving. I thought of buying her a doll, but I changed my mind when I saw the other high-tech toys. My niece is 5 years old, and has just started kindergarten.
I decided to buy her a story book. It was not an ordinary story book; it has a sort of reader that looks like a pen. When you point the pen to the words in the story book, it speaks out the pronunciation of the word. And not only that! When you point at pictures, of animals for instance, it will play the sound of the animals. It is really very educating at the same time entertaining. Even I enjoyed it. I hope she’ll like it too. I’m looking forward to seeing her reaction to that techie story book on our thanksgiving reunion next week.
