Moving On

I have always been intrigued with the HCG shots Austin my cousin uses. He used to be very horizontally challenged and everyone in his grade school teased him and called him names like “Porky Pig” or “Fatty” for it to the point that we’d find him crying in his room or staring into space.

He sure had a tough childhood but now, he’s been having a hard time trying to handle all the girls that are begging to be with him.

He’s tried various products and diets and most of them didn’t work for him, so he resorted to HCG shots, and voila! It worked faster than anything he has ever tried before!

I’m sure glad he’s moved on and has a better life now. Who wouldn’t want that?

Printing

My sister has been very interested in working for the advertisement part of the industry, and she’s been making ads, and spoofs of them since she was in high school.

My mother decided to buy her a laptop to help with computer graphic designs so she can make better advertisements and use it for her job so we actually weren’t able to have a decent conversation with her for weeks because she was so happy.

She’s currently asking me look for rack card printing services, but I’m not too familiar with the sort. If you are and if you have a company to recommend, you are more than welcome to comment, it would be greatly appreciated.

Self Confidence

I have travelled to some places and I can see that everywhere, Appetite suppressant diet pills can be found.

Most women nowadays tend to become desperate, mostly the women in their late 30′s who are still single, and who want to get married and have kids but have no groom to be yet.

This scenario can’t be helped, so most of them feel that physical appearances have something to do with this, and part of this is true. Many women are not too confident about their body build, so they resort to diet pills.

There are many effective diet pills out there as long as you have investigated them thoroughly, and I would like to raise other women’s awareness in the many wonderful diet pills that we have in the market.

If you would like to contribute please comment and recommend all the diet pills you have taken and their good and/or bad effects. It would be greatly appreciated.

On movie piracy

Let us face it. Movie piracy has never been easier in today’s technology. Just anyone with a blu-ray drive and a fast internet connection can easily rip a movie and upload it as mkv. Because of the fast internet connection, 35 gig blue ray movies can be uploaded raw –  I mean, the whole untouched blu-ray data. This may be beneficial for individuals, but not for the movie industry. If things continue like this, producers will hire asians for a batman sequel or pixar will just outsource to india.

So how can any government impose laws preventing piracy, if they cannot enforce such laws? Underground websites do not even show up in google, and online file repositories are hard to check. One solution I thought about was kind of vague but it may work. Just like the strategy of the Iphone makers, “make them love it”. It is sort of like making something more like a collectible. Inducing some marketing schemes to let people think of original blu ray movies as something to collect will surely make sales go up. Again, just like the iphone, “a quality product at a reasonable price”. Blu rays maybe cheap in the US but they cost ten folds in Asian countries. Now do you still wonder why Taiwan pirates movies?

Anyhow, piracy IS stealing. Although movie pirates may seem like the Robin Hood of the future, they really are terrorists.

When you’re new in the travel business you want to cover as much as base as you want when it comes to promoting your website. One efficient way to do this is to use web directories. Submit your website to any of these web directories and you’ll be reaping the rewards afterward. You may also opt to submit your website to all of these web directories, but of course, doing so will entail costs. :)

Here are three of the best web directories you should consider promoting your website to:

Yahoo is a web directory may be a bit out of the budget, but the benefits outweigh the cost. The image and stability of this web directory is worth paying for, alongside the number of users of the site. A lot of people visit this site for their travel needs and destinations. The company stands, and you stand out with it. Not bad for a couple of hundred dollars more.

Likewise, Business.com, a very expensive web directory, is well-known and is a regularly-searched on site. The site can link you to different opportunities such as networks to other travel businesses. You can also search for ideas for promos and the like to implement in your business. This site is actually as effective as Yahoo.

Last but not the least, you can also try submitting your site to Directory Journal. It’s not as expensive Yahoo and Business.com. It allows you to use your pages to the optimum by submitting several links that go back to your website, giving you as much exposure as you can have.

There are a lot of options but these three sites are most probably the best web directories that you should pay for and use.

London

Ever since I was young I have always wanted to go to this country. I have met many interesting people on the internet, and I can say the people I get along with the most are the people who live in London.

I have also heard many great things about this place and if given the opportunity, I would like to learn more about their culture, not to mention the weather is beautiful and the outfits that they wear there make my eyes water and my mouth drool with envy.

The fact that many of the bands I have come to love came from this beautiful place has also helped raise my interest on visiting it. I guess there’s something about that place that inspires people to do many beautiful things.

Too many beautiful places to go to, so little time and resources.

This would still be on the top of my list of places to visit, no matter what.

Who knows? Maybe one day I’ll live there instead.

Notebooks ain’t enough

No matter how popular notebook computers are today, nothing beats rack mount computer in terms of power and robustness. I witnessed this when we expanded our network and used a high end laptop as a temporary server. We thought that because the laptop has even better specs than the other server, it could be used for the same purpose. This, turned out to be a big mistake. After a few days the laptop just broke down. It just could not handle the amount of processing that a mounted server usually takes.

The moral of the story? Servers are built for power. They do not heat up easily and they have more robust components. It was unfortunate for the laptop though for breaking down beyond repair. Oh well, I learned a good lesson out of this incident. Thankfully, that was a company laptop that burned down.

On my way to Play & Display to claim the LapDesk gift I bought weeks ago for my friend, I saw a kids’ store with Halloween decorations. I panicked! I just remembered that it’s now almost the middle of September and I promised my god-daughter, Ayel, that we’ll be going to Hong Kong Disneyland for the Halloween! By now, all the flights to Hong Kong are most likely fully booked – not to mention the hotels. Tsk tsk.

*Light bulb* ( <-- Yes, I got this from “Despicable Me” 0;) ). To make up for it, I decided to call up my friend Twyla so she could help me come up with Halloween party ideas. Twyla’s great at coming up with not-so-expensive but fantastic parties. Plus, I also owe her daughter Ayesha (who happens to be my god-child as well) a birthday present for October. So the party will be for both Ayel and Ayesha *wink, wink*. I’m so good at killing two birds with one stone. Anyway, Twyla was more than happy to help and is pretty ecstatic about the Halloween party.

As for me, my friend was very delighted with the LapDesk surprise I had in store for him. ^_^

Simple Pleasures

Since I was young, I have always had this fascination for steel buildings. I don’t know why, but whenever I see a steel building, I just grab my camera and take snapshots of them randomly.

I have always been a frustrated architect. I lack the talent, so I decided to enhance my writing skills instead. Knowing what you love is definitely one of life’s greatest necessities. If you don’t know what you want, I don’t really think you would ever be able to achieve genuine happiness.

These steel buildings are one of life’s simple pleasures for me, and as a great person once said, “Simple pleasures are the essence of life.”.

What are your simple pleasures? :)

Through Thick And Thin

I have been planning to get one of my closest friends who lives abroad a special gift for quite a while now. The fact that she’s one of the very few people who knows everything about me yet still doesn’t turn the other way around makes her very dear to me. Call me cheesy, but it’s something I appreciate a lot.

She’s always been there for me, through thick and thin, even though she’s far away. She never fails to make me smile with all the little things she does.

I thought about getting her RedEnvelope gifts, and flying to Canada myself. They just have quite a wide variety of options to choose from, and that’s what I like most when shopping online. I’m sure she’ll appreciate this when she receives it.

If you have any RedEnvelope gifts to recommend, kindly let me know by commenting on this post, any form of reply would be greatly appreciated!
