Most things have portable versions now. From portable vacuum cleaners to projectors and of course the laptops, netbooks and all those stuff. However I never thought that annual physical exams are now portable too.

Yep, earlier today, the HR announced that we are all required to take the annual physical exam as a requirement for our medical insurance. My intention was to miss the test because I am afraid that they might tag me as “not fit to work”. You see recently I had a check up and turns out I have hypertension. However, I was not able to escape the test because it was to be performed on a medical cart. Yep, a Howard-Medical.com medical computer cart parked in front of our office so there was really no choice.

Fortunately, I passed all the tests. It seems like the medications given by my doctor worked well and my blood pressure was normal during the exam. What a relief.

On being physically fit

I’ve always been amused with bike racks on cars. I kind of imagined myself riding the bike on top of the car, pretending to be kicking the wheels to drive as fast as a car, but it’s kind of dangerous, and I’ve never even learned how to ride a bike.

It’s funny how I can actually drive a car and not a bike. I guess my sense of balance is worse than that of a cat who lost its whiskers.

I’m thinking about buying a thule bike rack for my car so I can actually start to work on my balancing skills on the bike, and so I can fail less at it.

Do you think it’s worth it? I mean, I really need to start exercising. I’m not that physically fit anymore. I find myself panting after climbing a flight of stairs, even if it’s just for three floors, and I can’t stand long walks anymore.

What kind of exercises would you recommend?

Cars

My sister forced me to watch the movie “Fast and Furious 5″ with her. She has always had a knack for cars and fast vehicles. She probably got that from hanging out with my brother so much.

I guess that movie made me somewhat interested in cars. I started reading up on cars and special engine parts, and I saw this polaris ranger power steering and I felt intimidated. It made me want to buy a Polaris Ranger XP & Crew. My brothers always invite me trekking and driving through those dangerous trails worry me a lot.

I’m not a big fan of driving, so I think I’ll just buy the car and the steering wheel and make my brother drive for me instead! Ha ha. I bet you 500 bucks you wouldn’t ever want to see me drive.

I tend to get very stressed when I drive, I don’t like distractions, and even my little sisters are afraid of me when I drive.

What do you tend to do when you drive? Are you a happy driver?

Ever since I was young I had these migraine spells. At some point I even wanted to hit my head towards the wall so hard so I wouldn’t feel the pain anymore.

This worried my mom so. She went to see every doctor to look for something to treat my migraine with, but almost all of their recommended medicines have side effects.

And thus began our search for natural migraine treatment. Thanks to the wonders of technology, I don’t have to worry too much about my migraine anymore. As always, natural treatment never fails.

Do you have any experiences on migraine? How did you treat it? Feel free to comment. I’ll be more than happy to share stories with you.

When money is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; but when integrity is lost, everything is lost.

When you lose your money, you can easily recover or replace it. Maybe even more than what you’ve lost. As such, you’ve lost nothing.

When you lose your health… that is a different story. You have to spend much to get well. The sad part of this, is if you had been diagnosed with something incurable such as AIDS. In this case, you not only lose your health, you also lose your money and integrity for being afflicted by this dreaded disease of the century.

Today, you don’t need to worry about your health if you are covered by insurance, specifically by affordable health insurance. I suggest you visit websites like 2insure4less.com, a free consumer referral service that strictly observes “Privacy Policy”. All you need to do is to fill out one, quick and easy questionnaire. This info, with your identity not revealed, will be transmitted to hundreds of insurance companies, and the three (3) companies with the most competitive results will be chosen. Your identity and contact info will be referred to up to three agents in your state who represent companies with the best preliminary estimates. These three companies are authorized to quote and sell insurance.

Knowing that the 2insure4less.com had helped you to have at least three options, the decision is now in your hands. Decide to get an affordable health insurance while you are still young, healthy, and wise.

A better option

In this busy world, where people could hardly give time for themselves so as to eat a well-balanced diet even in their homes, the option is to take food supplements. True enough, even the meals sold at the fast foods contain less nutrients needed by the body, for these are either over fried or over boiled. Further, let us bear in mind that these type of foods contain more sodium chloride (salt) and mono sodium glutamate (msg) which if taken excessively will harm the body.

My family believes on the benefits derived from the food supplements. Lately, my Mom brought home a unique, affordable and effective food supplement with curcumin. With my research, I learned that curcumin has the power to block inflammation, stop cancer, kill infectious microbes and improve heart health. As such, people taking food supplement that act as disease-fighting agent will have a strong healthy immune system. If taking food supplement is a better option to be healthy, combine it with your favorite exercise, then you will have the best option to live longer and happier.

A story on walking

A friend of mine told me the story of her cousin who seems to like traveling. Her cousin named Victor would spend each day walking and roaming the streets of each and every town in their small municipality. It is not known if it was because of personal preference or just out of habit, but it did start in a rather unexpected way.

You see, Jose was a drug addict. But before that, he was at the top of his class. He was a valedictorian since grade one, a student leader, and belonged to a family of achievers. It was said that when he was in college, he was unknowingly and consistently drugged by one of his fellow students. He got addicted without meaning to. His family brought him to various drug treatment centers, to no avail. Now all he does is walk, walk and walk.

Maybe he enjoys traveling. I sure hope so.
