Better to print at home

I just love traveling. Whenever I have the opportunity to travel to another place, I grab it. It does not matter if I have cash or not. In line with this, I also like taking photos. I take photos of every highlight of my adventures in different places. I usually print the pictures at home and post the prints on my huge wall of adventure pics.

However, this year, my printer broke and I decided to just take my digital images to a print shop to be printed. However I was not satisfied with the results. it seemed like the colors of the pictures were dull and dark, which is different from the vivid prints I got from my printer. I returned the pictures for a refund of course.

Just a tip to you guys, when doing some color printing, nothing beats a high quality home printer. Probably, print shops use lower quality inks. Another reason can be that their printers are not calibrated. Anyhow, I just bought another printer which came with free color inks and re-printed my photos.

Ever since I hit puberty I’ve been having severe acne problem on my chin. Pimples occur every now and then on my face, especially when I’m really stressed. However, the case on my chin is really horrible. I’ve tried a lot remedies to get rid of my chin acne and even read a lot of books on how to treat acne.

During this time, I was shocked to find out that a simple conversation with my colleague in the washroom was all I needed to solve my chin acne problem. She advised me to try switching my toothpaste. She furthered that it’s possible that my toothpaste is actually the culprit that’s been causing those severe pimples because of the harsh ingredients that unavoidably drips on my chin after every brushing. I tried that and with a simple toothpaste switch, I got rid of those chin pimples!

So for those experiencing the same problem, try the toothpaste switch solution! ;)

Finding the perfect wedding rings that suit your taste and budget can sometimes be very frustrating especially with all the other wedding plans involved. Earlier, a good friend of mine asked me to help her find the ideal ring for her, and fast. Her fiancé is busy with the other planning like the budget, venue, programs and all so he could not help her hunt for the rings. And with roughly two months to go before her wedding day she was really desperate.
She looked at several jewelry stores around town already yet she still has not found the best pair of wedding rings. So I suggested browsing the net for custom made rings. Most custom jewelry sites let you design your weddings ring on the fly. Choose among a wide variety of presets, customize the designs, and pick loose diamonds to add to your ring.
Within minutes we were able to list down her top three choices and get a price quote for each. The best thing about custom made jewelry is that they are handmade – elegantly designed and meticulously inspected for imperfections. Also, since they are custom made, there are unlimited design possibilities so you’ll never have to worry about anyone having the same ring as you have. And so… another mission accomplished!

Caring For The Old Folks

My parents are getting old, and when people get old, they sometimes experience involuntary urination or defecation. It ends up being a whole mess so we all want to avoid that kind of situation.

I looked around and searched for decent incontinence products that wouldn’t ever make them the uncomfortable. I think it would be very useful for them.

I’m not too familiar with the brands to use, yet, though. Do you guys have any ideas? Feel free to comment. :)

Although treatments like acne pills, cream and lotion are now the common remedy for acne problems, I suggest you still add Vitamin C to your daily consumption – some of the best sources are fruits like orange and calamansi.

It can work wonders, I tell you. Having enough Vitamin C in tandem with your acne treatment will not only enable you to have a pimple free face but also give you a healthy, pinkish-white glow. Something you rarely see nowadays.

For the really skin conscious, I suggest you take conzace since it has Vit A 5,000 iu, vit E 100 iu, vit C 500 mg which are all good for the skin. This was recommended to me by my dermatologist and has been proven very effective. In any case, you can just stick to 500-1,000 grams of ascorbic acid to get your daily Vitamin C needs.

I just received an email regarding employee purchase discounts of the newest printer models in our company. They are basically giving away fifty units of the newest WiFi enabled printers for a quarter of the price! Of course, I quickly sent my order details in order to get a slot, fortunately I got one. Good thing I regularly check my mail.

Yep, it’s confirmed. The printer will be delivered to my desk this week. I really need a printer right now because I will use it for postcard printing. My friends and I exchange postcards and mail since they studied abroad a year ago. Since then we have been collecting our postcards and posting them in our scrapbook. Every thanksgiving, we get a chance to see each other for a few days because it’s their sem break. Anyway, I bet they’ll love my custom postcards better that the ones bought in stores.

You would never believe what happened to me earlier. When I arrived at the interview venue, I was asked by the receptionist who my contact person is (As expected). Unfortunately, I was not able to get the name of the person who called me for this interview. Good thing the receptionist was very accommodating and just asked each HR if they contacted me. There were about twenty HR’s in the office but good thing that the HR who expected me was there.

Anyhow, It was a panel interview with the team leader and HR. it took a little over an hour and it was the best interview i ever had. For the first time I felt very comfortable during the interview. It felt like I was talking casually with a good friends. After that the HR asked me to wait for a few minutes because she will be prepare some papers. When she came back, she handed me a job offer!

The offer was so generous and it was impossible to resist. aside from the high salary they also offered very nice benefits including bonuses, allowance, hazard pay, laptop incentives, company phone, and even free quick weight loss diet programs. I did not think twice and i immediately signed the offer. haha. I wonder what my boss will look like the moment he sees my resignation letter effective immediately.

I woke up at five to review on some web development terms in preparation for my scheduled job interview later. Obviously I wont be going to work today. I’ll just call in sick. hahaha. Good thing I am in the mood to review probably because of the adrenaline rush and the multivitamin supplement i took earlier.

Already took a bath and had breakfast and I dressed myself to look like a smart ass nerd (well taylor swift type nerd). I am already prepared for the interview later. I still have 2 hours to go. I’ll just relax for a while so that I wont look wasted later. Hmm… I better double check my things first…

resume – ok
transcript – ok
id cards – ok
car keys – ok
contact person – oh crap. hehe.

Yeah aside from forgetting my contact person I guess I am all set. Wish me luck guys!

Guess what? Earlier, I got a call from a prestigious company asking me if i was interested in working with them as a web developer. I currently have no intention of leaving my company but i was overwhelmed when I received that call. I am very happy with my company but i am always open to better opportunities. So I agreed to be interviewed tomorrow to learn more about their offer. Oh I’m so nervous.

Oh crap, I got their company address but I forgot to ask whom to look for. I was so excited that I forgot the name of whom i was talking to earlier. what do i do now? yep, i know what you are going to say, why don’t I just call the number registered to my phone. well unfortunately, the company uses a trunk line that does not accept any incoming calls! waaaah! I bet they have a very large HR department and I’m going to have a hard time convincing the receptionist to let me in because i have no contact person. hhhh…. Oh well…

Looking for a university that offers public safety degrees is quite hard, I mean, most universities offer these kinds of courses, but the question lies on the quality of education that they offer.

I think universities that also help you develop as a person and adapts to you is amazing. Being there to assist a student in every step of the way is also necessary, but it should be noted that spoon-feeding the students isn’t always good.

Getting to see various situations in different viewpoints and demonstrating it to the students would also be a great way to teach students to gain understanding and confidence on their on when they someday end up in the same situation as the ones being demonstrated.

And lastly, it has to be your own initiative to lead others and to develop, not theirs.
