Running away from fats
Author: admin
I was never into sports before. Ever since I graduated college, the only part of my body that is regularly exercised is my fingers (not what you’re thinking). Developing software can be so addictive that you tend to forget how important it is to exercise. Because of this not so active lifestyle, my formerly slim sexy body blew up to a flabby fat pear shaped blob. Yeah maybe I’m just exaggerating but my belly did get fatter. This is why I took diet pills.
Diet pills however only slimmed me down however I still needed to tone my muscles to achieve that shapely body I have always dreamed of. Regular exercise will do this for you. Of course, what better way to exercise than to do it with friends?
My friends and I registered in another running event. This time, the event is a fund raising campaign to raise awareness in global warming. This is just my second time to join an event but I’m sure I learned much from my first one. Perhaps now I can do the 10 kilometer run which is much more challenging than the first. Try it out too! It’s really so much fun.

Running for health
Author: admin
Organized running events started becoming more and more popular these days. Just this month, the company sponsored three running events for different causes. At first I was skeptical with the idea of paying so much just to be able to register in the race. So what my colleague did was pay for my registration. Since it was free, I was happy to join.
There were three categories in the race. Three, ten, and twenty kilometers. I was registered in the three kilometer run. I started the run and quickly realized that it has been a long time since I ran this far. As expected I did not win the contest, but I sure enjoyed the run.
Running is probably the easiest way to burn all those fats. Even better, if you are under diet supplements, the weight loss will even be accelerated. Now when there are invites for running events, I do not hesitate on joining anymore. Running is a sure fun way to become slimmer and healthier.
My Happy-Meeting-You-Anniversary 2010 Gift
Author: admin
On April last year, to celebrate our Happy-Meeting-You-Anniversary, my friend Mark and I went to a really cool place that offers go kart and atv racing. It was both our first time then and the experience was just so exhilarating that we decided to have another round on both before going home.
This year though, with him being extremely busy with his new company, we barely even had time to greet each other 0:( I understand the pressure he’s currently in, but it would’ve been really great if we spent at least 2 hours for a nice dinner to celebrate our Happy-Meeting-You-Anniversary.
Anyway, with me being depressed as well with my current unappreciated-undervalued-state at the office, I have decided that what we both need more than anything else is some time to relax and unwind. But it needs to be something that can be squeezed in with our busy schedule. Which is why, as a surprise, I bought two gift certificates at the spa for a 30-minute sauna, Jacuzzi and steam bath, and an hour of private massage. ^_^ I’ve been dreaming of going to a spa with him for the longest time.
Mark wasn’t that happy with the gift though because he doesn’t want me spending that much money on him. But he did agree that he needed the massage. Now all that’s left is for us to schedule a date for that. I can’t wait!
Pot-lucking

YEY! XBOX NIGHT! So okay…every 3 weeks, we have this xbox night normally it’s done at Pete’s place, mainly because he’s a cook, so it’s a given that we’ll be pigging on GOOD GOOD FOOD whenever the party is held there. It’s supposedly “Pot luck” but on one dares to bring amy food just because Pete’s sumptuous dinner and finger foods can make any of our best dishes seem like crap. After 5 types of main courses and 6 types of finger foods we were all fat. We were ready to get butchered. You can probably see my fat at 5$ per kilo.
So our “potluck”’ consisted of tequila rose, el hombre, jack daniel’s, Johnny walker, etc. Name it..we brought it. After a while Sergey and Joey were drunk on alcohol, good food, and xbox. They made little sighs of “life is good” as they were lounging their temporary fat ass.
I didn’t go over board that night. I had my own xbox night episode that I never what that to happen ever again.
T’was fun mates! Till the next one!
Early morning outdoor fun
Author: admin
I, together with a bunch of friends, went out on a road trip to the nearest national park to get out of all the stresses from work. We went there early, before the sun came out, and we planned to do jogging first then have breakfast there. It was a very cold foggy morning and we were almost freezing. Good thing the heater is working so the cold was not much of a problem.
We got to the park just in time for sunrise. Some of us did some jogging and running while others started setting up the tents and opening up the weather pack. After jogging, we joined up for breakfast and we grilled some sausages and steaks. It was like an outdoor barbecue party, only it’s like we were one with nature. The great outdoors sure is the best site to do some grilling.
We stayed there until past noon, then we headed back home. It was a fun morning and it’s the first time we did that. We’ll surely do it again soon.
on Guimaras and the sweetest Mangoes in the world
Author: admin
My friend and I are going to Guimaras on the 19th, “the next Boracay” in the Philippines. We’re both pretty excited about it since we’ve heard so many great stories about it, especially about the diversity of flora and fauna within the area.
While browsing, I came across this trivia:
The Guimaras Island is famous for producing the sweetest mangoes in the world. Guimaras mangos are reportedly served at the White House and Buckingham Palace. Guimaras’ largest event of the year is The Manggahan Festival (the Mango Festival).
I’ll definitely try their Mangoes. Hehehe.
We currently don’t have any idea where to stay there though. But we only hope the places we end up with have decent comfort rooms. Preferably with American Standard sinks, shower, and toilet bowl that have hot running water please? My friend would absolutely die without hot running water. It’s like the soul of every accommodation he’s been into. That criterion can be a make or break of his reviews of every accommodation. Seriously.
Anyway, I can’t wait til the 19th! It’s actually going to be my first time to travel with a guy best friend. How cool is that? ^_^
Top football destinations in europe
Author: admin
For football (a.k.a. soccer) fanatics, instead of admiring your football gods from one of those wholesale tvs, wouldn’t it be better if you get to see them from the stands and perhaps even get to shake hands with them in person?
I suggest planning a trip to Europe that includes these top three destinations in your itinerary: London, Manchester, and Liverpool. These are the three largest cities for soccer or football which also houses stadiums that are the home of a club or national team with a capacity of 40,000 or more (FYI, 40,000 is the minimum capacity required for a stadium to host FIFA World Cup finals matches). Some of which are Wembley Stadium in Wembley, London (90,000 capacity); Old Trafford (football) in Trafford, Greater Manchester (76,212 capacity); and Anfield Liverpool (45,362 capacity).
It doesn’t matter which hotel you’re staying in. Just make sure to avail of stadium tours from the popular big clubs so you can get a behind the scenes look at the players” changing rooms and the facilities.
I’m freaking going to japan for free!
Author: admin
I’ll be leaving for Japan this weekend for a vacation and probably a field report on Japan jewelry. My client gave me this vacation as a gift for my outstanding service. At the moment, I am still not that excited maybe because the idea still hasn’t sinked in. Departure is on Friday and I’ll arrive there the next day. It has always been my dream to go to Asia especially in Japan. I’ve heard they have good jewelry there and I’m planning to make an article regarding their platinum diamond rings (I’ll definitely use my savings for this one).
Waaaah!!! I still can’t believe it! Could somebody pinch me or slap me in the face?! I think it’s sinking in now… my heart is beating so fast I feel I’m going to have a heart attack! “breath- in.. breath out.. relax…” Aaah! I cant wait ‘til Friday comes!
Birthday Watch
Author: admin
My cousin’s birthday is coming up. And I have found a perfect gift for him, an Audemars Piguet . He broke his watch 3 weeks ago while he was in his yacht. He accidentally smashed it while tying the ropes.
He loved that watch very much that he got depressed the next couple of days. It was given to him by his best friend for Christmas and he would always say that it was built for him. So now, for his birthday, I’m giving him the exact same one. I hope he likes it.
“Relax” means “a change of activity”
Author: admin
It’s a three-day weekend! Unfortunately, I was so busy with work that I forgot about the long weekend. Consequently I wasn’t able to plan for an out of town, and at the moment I have a lot of time on my hands – 72 hours to be exact. Then again, as I learned from the recollection I attended several months ago:
relax != doing nothing
relax == change of activity
I had a quick look around in my room and I saw piles and piles of books on my study table. Yep. I need bookshelves; and perhaps some reorganizing of my room. I’m so excited! I haven’t bought furniture for months now. Who says you need to be out of town to have fun? Room redecorating is equally invigorating as well, not to mention fulfilling. ^_^
