Happy Fits

Do you remember the days when you were young and never worried about things like finance and boys? How you’d only cry when you’re hungry or if you fell down while running or broke your toy by accident?

When I was young, I used to stay inside the house. I preferred to play computer games and Lego alone than interact with people outside. There was one thing that kept me amused while I was inside, even when my parents left me. It was the set of wind chimes outside our window. I could stare at it for hours and not notice time passing by.

I used to collect them when I was a kid and cry whenever my mom refused to buy me one. There is just something about wind chimes that calm me so, and it still has the same effect on me until now.

What kind of objects did you use when you were young to calm yourself down? Please, feel free to share it with us.

Sweets and Treats

My friend’s mother paid us a surprise visit and brought pastries with her because she came from a province that specialized in those kinds of treats.

I was surprised and pleased at the same time– I have been having these strange cravings for sweet things for quite a while now!

She went on ahead to check up on her son because he was staying at our place for the summer and mentioned that her husband is looking for a Bronx Accident Lawyer.

Apparently there was an accident in New York and they needed a good lawyer to defend their case. She was quite worried while she was telling the story to us. Apparently her husband got injured and the other party made it look like it was her husband’s fault.

It saddens me that these kinds of people still exist, and without a good lawyer, it would really be difficult to prove such a thing. Please help us, recommend a lawyer you know and we would be forever in debt to you.

I used to think that Iphones are best seen with with their original appearance. That is – without an iphone case. My first Iphone, the 2G version, still works right now but I gave it away to my little sister. I used that for three years without a cover case. Whenever it got scratched, I just ignored. I thought of it as a pair of Levis jeans that looks better when faded and torn.

However, when I finally got my Iphone 4, my point of view about scratches changed. It is so perfect. The shiny edges, the glossy finish, I am in love. One time, I placed it in my pocket and I accidentally scratched the screen when I put in my keys. Fortunately, my phone came with a screen protector. Since then I realize I had to buy a case. I never want to scratch my phone again.

Way back when I was still in college, I had no idea what search engine optimization was. It was my first job offer that introduced me to the wonders of seo.

But what is SEO?

According to wikipedia, Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in search engines via the “natural” or un-paid (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results.

Most people only look through the first three pages of thousands of websites when they search from something. With the help of search engine optimization, you can actually help put your website on the top of the list when searching a certain keyword.

I recently came across a product called seo link vine and the idea of recruiting websites and amassing a large article network for link building is quite promising.

With the current pace of the development of technology, I’m sure this will not be the only bright idea that people come up with regarding search engine optimization.

Back pain

When I was in grade school we were forced to bring our books home and carry them back to school daily because they thought that if we brought our books home that children would actually opt to read them over games like Barbie dolls and Legos.

Imagine that, nine year old me carrying ten books everyday to school.

This heavy load slowly introduced scoliosis to my life. My mom noticed my posture– it started getting worse as the years went by. She had my back checked and the x ray confirmed that I have mild scoliosis.

I started getting therapies here and there. One type of therapy even told me to hang by a monkey bar for thirty minutes and just hold on to it.

I know it would be difficult if not impossible to bring my spinal column to the way it was before, but I’m not losing hope in the various massage therapy programs that the therapeutic world has to offer. I’m sure someone will come up with an easy solution soon enough, and if that doesn’t happen I’ll have to make it happen myself.

CHEEEEESECAKE!

I have been craving for a blueberry cheesecake for the longest time, and I have also been constantly nagging my sister to bake one for me.

I guess it’s safe to say that my sister is quite annoyed because she knows the ingredients are very expensive and she doesn’t want to pay for it herself (she’s not a big fan of blueberry cheesecakes), so it is time for me to step in and get back to my sister’s good side!

I started browsing online to see if there are le creuset sales available anywhere because I know my sister loves this brand. You can tell this from all the cook and bakeware that she uses.

I am hoping that this little expense would get me back to her good side so I can taste that heavenly cheesecake I have been drooling over for so long. It’s literally driving me insane! (Okay, not literally, but you get the point!)

Old School

Antennas are the long sticks used to gather signals from television stations or from cellular sites. These have been used way before satellites started being the fad. Since satellites don’t prove very useful when it’s raining or snowing hard, I decided to look for the good old antenna.

A particular type of antenna has piqued my interest. I found out that omnidirectional antennas existed while I was searching for antennas to buy, and I can say that I found what I was looking for all along. Given the fact that it radiates power uniformly in all directions, I can say that I don’t need to mess around with which direction the antenna is facing just to get a decent reception.

I am amazed at how much technology has progressed over the years, but I do hope somehow that the technology we develop finds its own way to help save the environment.

Trophies

Everyone wants to have some sort of proof that they won something special. I myself have a thing for these so-called trophies. Nothing gives you bragging rights better than these amazing things.

If I were given the chance I would make trophies for almost anything I could come up with! I have already put giving out trophies to my friends for Christmas into consideration once, believe it or not. Some of the awards I have come up with are “Best Burper in Town”, “Smile More Please”, “Best Costume”, “The Gentleman Award” and “Perm of the Year”.

I don’t know where I come up with these things, really. It has been a habit of mine to make up things as they come and go.

If you were to give out trophies to your friends, what kinds of awards would you give out? Feel free to comment them on this post, and we’ll see which one of you guys comes up with the most creative one!

As a lot of my friends and relatives have been reading my blogs and consequently asking me to look for auto insurances online, I decided to be a very nice person and I started to compare the best auto insurance online.

If you may or may not notice, this task won’t be easy for just one person to do, as auto insurances cover a lot of things and each one of them have various pros and cons, and the basis for comparison wouldn’t just be one or two. This is one of the main reasons as to why so I am looking for volunteers!

If you have time to spare, please help me out by reviewing all of the auto insurances online that you can find and feel free to post your reviews on the comment section of this post. It will be greatly appreciated, and I will make sure that you will be rightfully credited for your amazing work. I am looking forward to hearing from you guys soon!

Camp out

I met a group of girls in a bar yesterday who are inviting me up for a night of camping. Of course I was so tempted to join but I was a little hesitant because I just met them that day. They seemed nice and a little dorky too they are a lot of fun to hang out with. One of them, bragged about her gadgets that she plan to bring on camping. It was an eotech 512! When I saw it I went WHOA! Although I had no idea what it was. It did looked amazing and very high tech though.

It turns out it was a night vision gadget. She said it was given to her by a boyfriend from the army. Government property I guess. Anyhow, I gave it a try in a nearby alley and hey it was great. You really can see anything even on pitch black. This can really be great on camping trips especially when you are looking for a spot to dig a hole if you know what I mean.

Anyhow, dorky and geeky as they are, I guess I would love to camp out with them. In just one night I felt that they are safe to be with. I will however try to invite some of my friends to come along too.
