Relaxation, I need it!

I have recently come across a weight loss product called pink magic.

It kind of reminds me of that one game I used to play back when I was in grade school. It was called “black magic”, and what would happen was I would pretend to be psychic and make an unknowing friend point at an item. I would tell you my secret on finding it out, but that would mean I would have to kill you! Haha, just kidding.

I sure miss being young, making up games and worlds that only you can enter, meeting a lot of friends without worrying about payables and work.. being just happy and carefree, and just living in the moment.

Lately I’ve been consumed by my work and all the things that I have to pay for, so I don’t have the luxury to enjoy a lot of things. I believe the only form of relaxation I have is watching movies on my ipod on my break.

It’s sad, but it’s just the way life is.

Things I miss

I miss the beach.

I miss wearing swimsuits, walking barefoot in the sand, swimming while trying to get the image of jellyfish stinging your legs out of your head, playing beach volleyball, walking with your dad holding garretts metal detectors thinking you’ll find hidden treasure, walking around seeing beautiful people enjoying themselves with their loved ones and just having fun without having to think of anything else.

When was the last time you took a break from your job? When was the last time you actually had fun?

Life is short, you shouldn’t waste your time being worked up and stressed about your future. Enjoy the present, live in the moment.. but don’t get too carried away! Every action has a consequence, keep that in mind.

In fact.. I think I’m going to get a beach reservation in Pagudpod.. See you!

Shopping for stuff!

Since my boss trusts my taste in furniture or objects– to be more specific, he always asks me to pick out our office supplies online and order them.

There are two main factors that I consider before buying something and that would be quality and price. If the price is reasonable for the products’ quality, then I buy it. Other factors would be the physical appearance and if it has extra bonuses. I’m a girl after all, and I’m all about the cuteness!

I guess after more than 20 years of buying things, I can say that I know what to buy and what I should avoid. It’s all about priorities, if you prefer this over that. Being fickle minded isn’t really helpful when you’re shopping. You’d end up losing more money than you actually intended to.

People who love to write never miss to bring their notebooks. They are both important in their habit, be it writing about personal thoughts, diagrams, stories, dreams, or even grocery lists. A handy notebook is a great memory tool for personal journaling and idea generation. Notebooks go in different sizes, shapes, covers, or quality of paper. A simple one helps people to just down whatever comes to mind.

Aside from a mere note taker, many notebooks are out in the market, sold in different designs. This gives much more color to notebook and the writer itself. Promotional folio notebooks are among them. They are normal folio notebooks, except that they are used for company promotions and advertisement.

Promotional folio notebooks are often customized in terms of design. Designs pertain to the needs of the company, focusing on a certain concept, or developing more enticing one. Photographs, logos, quotations, and simple daily calendar add more texture to promotional folio notebooks. Most companies give them away as a gift, which also serves as a promotional material. This is a good marketing strategy as well.

These kinds of notebooks target either writers or creative thinkers in general, or perhaps specific target audience. But that depends on how appealing the designs are to the customers. Bottomline is, there notebooks that writers can something write over. Writing becomes much more fun.

Landscape

I recently watched one of Zac Efron’s movies, “17 Again” with my little sister.

We couldn’t help but notice two things.

1) Zac Efron is just unbelievably cute it’s almost offensive.
2) The backyard is plain amazing.

I guess the first item is pretty much self explanatory, so allow me to express my thoughts regarding the amazing landscape architectural job they did on the backyard.

I have this thing for Flowering trees. I find them beautiful as the flowers bloom, and I sometimes make floral arrangements from flowers I pick up as I walk down the street.

My mom has always loved me for all those bouquets I made her. She says I have a talent in this field and encouraged me to actually start up with our own backyard.

The only thing I’m sure of at the moment is that I want flowering trees in our backyard. Lots of it.

Christmas shopping

One thing I love about the Philippine holiday season is the fact that it lasts quite longer than the usual time that everyone else in the world celebrates it as.

And what else is there to do when the holiday season is up and about in the air than Christmas shopping and dwelling on various sales on shops everywhere?

I have quite the list of things to buy for myself as I have been buying things for everyone for the past several months. Instead of buying things I want I keep finding things that remind me of someone else that needs it.

It feels nice to buy things for people, but it isn’t so bad to think about yourself every once in a while, either.

Planning ahead

I have always dreamed of going to jet luxury resorts like the very well known “setai 5th ave“. I wanted to experience the lifestyle of the wealthy, even just once in my life.

I have been saving up to be able to do a lot of things in the near future. I just want so many things for myself even though I don’t have the financial resources for it.

This is why I chose to compromise.

I save a little of my financial income for the future, so in time, I get to retire happily from work and just enjoy the remaining days of my life without the stress that it gives.

What do you intend to do in the future, when you retire and decide to take a look back at the life you’ve lived? Are you doing anything to achieve this goal?

Kissing

Kissing is a physical expression of affection or love between two people, or actors, in that matter.

It’s something almost everyone has experienced, and there are a few things that worry people who are about to be kissed.

One of these factors would be bad breath. Who would want to kiss anyone suffering from halitosis? I’m pretty sure I’m not one of them.

This is why personalized mints exist. They’re very convenient to use. Just pop one a few minutes before you expect to do the deed and you’re all set! If you’re lucky your lover might even be able to taste the aftertaste.

So kiss away without worrying about bad breath and turning your lover off. Just choose wisely who to kiss! ;)

On April last year, to celebrate our Happy-Meeting-You-Anniversary, my friend Mark and I went to a really cool place that offers go kart and atv racing. It was both our first time then and the experience was just so exhilarating that we decided to have another round on both before going home.

This year though, with him being extremely busy with his new company, we barely even had time to greet each other 0:( I understand the pressure he’s currently in, but it would’ve been really great if we spent at least 2 hours for a nice dinner to celebrate our Happy-Meeting-You-Anniversary.

Anyway, with me being depressed as well with my current unappreciated-undervalued-state at the office, I have decided that what we both need more than anything else is some time to relax and unwind. But it needs to be something that can be squeezed in with our busy schedule. Which is why, as a surprise, I bought two gift certificates at the spa for a 30-minute sauna, Jacuzzi and steam bath, and an hour of private massage. ^_^ I’ve been dreaming of going to a spa with him for the longest time.

Mark wasn’t that happy with the gift though because he doesn’t want me spending that much money on him. But he did agree that he needed the massage. Now all that’s left is for us to schedule a date for that. I can’t wait!

India-na- Jone-ing

Me and two of my best friends decided to go out of the country for 2 weeks. Naturally relatives and friends who heard of this gave us their own “shop-ables stuff”. A scarf for my sister who collects it from all over, a bracelet for my other sister who collects also, strangely my aunt asked for a bunch of hemorrhoid relief, my mom asked for sweets, etc.

We all wanted to go to India and do yoga on their ashram over there. Luckily, we were able to book a flight early and thus we got the ticket at a cheaper price.

So long cruel cruel world! Off we go to India! See you in two weeks!
