The Best Apps

Author: admin

One of the best things about getting a smart phone is the wide range of applications that they offer. Since this has been developed, phones no longer serve only as a means of communication but also as an organizer and a simple means of entertainment.

You can read books, play games, and compete with your friends using your iPhone if it has Game Center.

I believe my favourite app would be the youtube downloader. I love watching videos there, especially those of cats or of Kingsley’s rants. I could easily waste four hours without even realizing it when I watch videos there. Haha!

What kind of apps do you guys download? Take screenshots of your app lists and let’s all come up with good recommendations! Maybe we could even come up with top 10 apps of each category. Leave links of your screenshots in the comments section of this post. :)

Strange Movies

I recently watched Emily Browning’s movie, “Sleeping Beauty”, and all I can say is, wow.

I didn’t really understand the plot until we got to the second half of the movie. I didn’t even know that there were Banquet Staff Jobs like that. I don’t think I’d ever be able to do that even if I was desperate for money, but hey.

The twist was really something, isn’t it? I didn’t really expect the movie to end that way. I’d write more, but I do not intend to be a spoiler to anyone who was planning on watching that movie and reading this post.

All I can say is, it’s not one of those regular movies you get to watch on cinemas, but it’s hella interesting. I kind of want to watch more movies like that now. Do you have any recommendations?

For Her

My brother’s seventh anniversary with his girlfriend soon, and he asked me to help him find a present for her. Since he doesn’t seem like he intends to ask for her hand in marriage anytime soon, I’m leaning towards looking through amazon or ebay to get personalized gifts for her.

She’s a big fan of accessories so I was thinking about custom made bracelets. I haven’t the slightest clue about what kind of designs she wants though, so I can’t really help my brother with that. I suggested a customized couple shirt, too, but my brother complained that it was too cheesy and they’re both not into that kind of thing.

I’m not really good with thinking about presents for people so I write down things if I see that they want something or need something. I don’t even know my brother’s girlfriend that well. Do you guys have any suggestions? I’m really out of ideas now!

Car Lovin’

My brother is currently obsessed with tweaking his car and I can’t help but find it cute.

He keeps buying upgrades like rud tire chains and a camera at his car’s bumper so he doesn’t have to look back so much when he backs up.

He even bought a GPS that’s really awesome and I like to stare at it whenever I ride his car because it never fails to amaze me. His sound system is brilliant, the interface is on a touch screen device.

If people’s vices are usually drugs and beer, my brother’s vice would probably be buying really expensive gadgets.

No kidding. I’m jealous, really, because if I had the money I’d probably be buying even more useless gadgets than my brother, but I’d have money, so it wouldn’t matter! RIGHT?!

What kind of things do you usually buy to make yourself happy? Do you buy toiletries? Clothes? Shoes? Makeup? Share it with us!

Green Thumb

My mom used to love gardening. Back in our old house in the military camp, she’d buy a lot of flower pots and plant various types of flowers in them. Our new house has a bigger backyard, but the ground is still not very fertile. I plan on buying fertile land and having our backyard redone so she can start on working on our backyard’s landscape.

I hope she appreciates the gardening gifts that I get her. We used to plant flowers in our yard when I was young, and she’d pick flowers and put them in a vase to display in our living room. They were really beautiful.

I guess you can blame her for my A’s in my Home Economics class! She’s always been so obsessed with keeping the house spic and span. We had this humble little home back then, and she’d get nothing but compliments about it.

I hope to be a good housekeeper as her when I start to have a family of my own. :)

The Game, Enjoy It!

My sister was chosen to be the representative of her batch in an upcoming event for their institute in the university.
I went to her university to watch her compete. Her university is a two hour drive from our house, so I brought my brother along with me. As the match was about to begin our backs started hurting from the heavy bags we were carrying, so we used their gym’s ping pong tables and put our bags above it.

She just joined for giggles and to have fun with her friends, but apparently her opponent took the game too seriously. Her opponent was a varsity player and the sad part was she never even smiled during the whole game.

I feel bad for her, I don’t think she enjoys playing anymore. Everyone was silent while watching them play. Theirs were the only match that no one else dared to speak in.

I’m not saying it’s bad to be competitive, but if it’s that extreme I don’t really think it’s good for your health.

Nothing But Water

Earlier today my friends and I decided to come to a water spa to relax and relieve ourselves of the stress that everyday living gave us.

I was shocked to see that the place literally had nothing but water. There were various acupuncture therapies that didn’t actually use needles. They called the therapy acupressure. They used water pressure to massage focal points in your body! How amazing is that?

What I loved most about the place was the hot pools. They required you to lean onto a cold metal bar to balance your body heat. The pools ranged from 36 to 38 degrees celsius, and you were required to dip yourself in cool water for 8 seconds after getting out of the hot pool.

It was my first time to get inside a steam bath and a sauna, and I absolutely loved it. The heat was a bit too much for me to endure, but I started getting used to it and it became an awesome experience in the end.

I saw some hot tub spa covers with interesting designs in that place. The spa area actually had an “Alice In Wonderland” feel, and it was amazing. I’d definitely recommend it to all of my friends when I go to work tomorrow.

Happy Fits

Do you remember the days when you were young and never worried about things like finance and boys? How you’d only cry when you’re hungry or if you fell down while running or broke your toy by accident?

When I was young, I used to stay inside the house. I preferred to play computer games and Lego alone than interact with people outside. There was one thing that kept me amused while I was inside, even when my parents left me. It was the set of wind chimes outside our window. I could stare at it for hours and not notice time passing by.

I used to collect them when I was a kid and cry whenever my mom refused to buy me one. There is just something about wind chimes that calm me so, and it still has the same effect on me until now.

What kind of objects did you use when you were young to calm yourself down? Please, feel free to share it with us.

Trophies

Everyone wants to have some sort of proof that they won something special. I myself have a thing for these so-called trophies. Nothing gives you bragging rights better than these amazing things.

If I were given the chance I would make trophies for almost anything I could come up with! I have already put giving out trophies to my friends for Christmas into consideration once, believe it or not. Some of the awards I have come up with are “Best Burper in Town”, “Smile More Please”, “Best Costume”, “The Gentleman Award” and “Perm of the Year”.

I don’t know where I come up with these things, really. It has been a habit of mine to make up things as they come and go.

If you were to give out trophies to your friends, what kinds of awards would you give out? Feel free to comment them on this post, and we’ll see which one of you guys comes up with the most creative one!

Urban Fashion

As a person who has always been a fashion addict, I can say that urban clothing is something that I would never get tired of. It just gives you this feel of comfort while looking amazingly well.

I have always been fond of high heels but I never really had the courage to wear them. Most of those shoes are just painful and it’s difficult for me to walk without tripping. I knew I would need the heels because I’m not much of a scrawny person myself, so I started to practice.

There’s always the comfort and pleasure that wearing sneakers provide. I find it amazing that nowadays, a lot of comfortable shoes are out, and their designs are as awesome as they are comfortable, as well! I’m quite hesitant to wear the shoes, however, because I feel the designs that I see lately are not too appropriate for my age, but what the heck, right?

What kind of shoes do you like best? Would you rather sacrifice the pain your feet gets for beauty, or would you rather buy the comfortable, “hip hop” shoes instead?
