What is it with men and their toys? Recently, my Dad bought a kit from Nitro RC Cars. It was a remote controlled car which is fueled by a special kind of gas. I got so interested so I spent some bonding time with my Dad with this new toy. I helped him in assembling the car then we did a road test. It was amazing. It went as fast as 60 miles per hour and it sounded like a chainsaw. For the first time, I enjoyed doing something cool with my Dad.

However, after the long hours of play, I became more interested on the price. At first I wanted to buy one for myself. But then when my Dad told me how much it cost, I was stunned. I would not even tell you because I am afraid you might swallow your teeth. It was amazingly expensive for my budget.

I bet if my Mom finds out that my Dad bought a toy car that costs as much as our old car, she will probably snap

Most things have portable versions now. From portable vacuum cleaners to projectors and of course the laptops, netbooks and all those stuff. However I never thought that annual physical exams are now portable too.

Yep, earlier today, the HR announced that we are all required to take the annual physical exam as a requirement for our medical insurance. My intention was to miss the test because I am afraid that they might tag me as “not fit to work”. You see recently I had a check up and turns out I have hypertension. However, I was not able to escape the test because it was to be performed on a medical cart. Yep, a Howard-Medical.com medical computer cart parked in front of our office so there was really no choice.

Fortunately, I passed all the tests. It seems like the medications given by my doctor worked well and my blood pressure was normal during the exam. What a relief.

I recently watched Emily Browning’s movie, “Sleeping Beauty”, and all I can say is, wow.

I didn’t really understand the plot until we got to the second half of the movie. I didn’t even know that there were Banquet Staff Jobs like that. I don’t think I’d ever be able to do that even if I was desperate for money, but hey.

The twist was really something, isn’t it? I didn’t really expect the movie to end that way. I’d write more, but I do not intend to be a spoiler to anyone who was planning on watching that movie and reading this post.

All I can say is, it’s not one of those regular movies you get to watch on cinemas, but it’s hella interesting. I kind of want to watch more movies like that now. Do you have any recommendations?

My brother’s seventh anniversary with his girlfriend soon, and he asked me to help him find a present for her. Since he doesn’t seem like he intends to ask for her hand in marriage anytime soon, I’m leaning towards looking through amazon or ebay to get personalized gifts for her.

She’s a big fan of accessories so I was thinking about custom made bracelets. I haven’t the slightest clue about what kind of designs she wants though, so I can’t really help my brother with that. I suggested a customized couple shirt, too, but my brother complained that it was too cheesy and they’re both not into that kind of thing.

I’m not really good with thinking about presents for people so I write down things if I see that they want something or need something. I don’t even know my brother’s girlfriend that well. Do you guys have any suggestions? I’m really out of ideas now!
