Early morning outdoor fun
Author: admin
I, together with a bunch of friends, went out on a road trip to the nearest national park to get out of all the stresses from work. We went there early, before the sun came out, and we planned to do jogging first then have breakfast there. It was a very cold foggy morning and we were almost freezing. Good thing the heater is working so the cold was not much of a problem.
We got to the park just in time for sunrise. Some of us did some jogging and running while others started setting up the tents and opening up the weather pack. After jogging, we joined up for breakfast and we grilled some sausages and steaks. It was like an outdoor barbecue party, only it’s like we were one with nature. The great outdoors sure is the best site to do some grilling.
We stayed there until past noon, then we headed back home. It was a fun morning and it’s the first time we did that. We’ll surely do it again soon.

Alone in the cold night
Author: admin
All these cold winter nights is making me depressed for no reason at all. Maybe it’s because of the lack of sleep, or the idea of sleeping alone in my apartment without anyone to talk with. Yeah, maybe that is just it. My room mate left two weeks ago to study in Europe. She had been my room mate for two years and we became close friends. She was like a sister to me and now she’s so far away. We only chat a few hours a day because of her busy schedule. She still has most of her things in the room though, including the heated mattress pads she bought on the net. She told me that I can use her stuff until she returns next year. Looking at her stuff makes me miss her more…
It was just the shampoo, after all!

I just realized that my sister Anne’s wedding is very near! I already have THE dress – a gold and black haltered dress with 3 roses on the side. Unfortunately, I don’t have THE back for it. That is, I don’t have flawless back, thanks to my back acne. I actually used to have a flawless back until recently. *sigh*
Consequently, out of panic, I finally decided to seek my dermatologist’s help. During the check-up, she asked me a very odd question, “Did you switch your shampoo?” I went, “Huh?” She elaborated, “Shampoo is something most of us use on a daily basis and are sometimes what’s causing back acne. This is because shampoo not only comes into contact with our hair, but also our skin. So if you recently changed your shampoo, try switching to another one.” *Ding!* That’s it! I’ve been using a new shampoo since December – I got it as a gift from our office Christmas party.
My dermatologist furthered that I should avoid shampoo and conditioners that give pearlized look since they usually cause back, chest, and shoulder acne (especially for those with long hair). Who would’ve thought that avoiding those type of hair products are almost like natural remedies for acne?
I’m soooo happy! It was just the shampoo, after all!
On controlling the sunlight
Author: admin
I’ve been having some problems sleeping recently. One of the factors is the sunlight which hits my face every morning (even during weekends when I want to catch on my sleep). I have been planning to get myself a decent roller blinds such as the roman blinds to get the sunlight factor off my “things that disrupt my sleep” list.
However, I’m too lazy to pick a design and have it installed. Then again, that’s what websites are for. You can pick the design online, and get a number of someone to have it installed immediately. I guess I can now say goodbye to sunlight (during my sleeping time anyway)! To have the light control and sunlight protection within my fingertips… getting sound sleep will no longer be impossible.
Next on my list, get an air conditioner for a mosquito-free and comfortable sleeping temperature.
On spa directories and websites

Being a spa and massage addict, I’m constantly on the lookout for great spa filters – one with a huge and accurate database of spas and the services they offer, including the pricing and schedule.
Although there are existing databases of spas, at the moment, I haven’t found one that meets my requirements. There seems to be some important details missing every now and then. And most of the time, the reviews in those sites are not that good or looks like they were paid to do the reviews. I’m seriously considering putting up my own spa directory website with my personal review (perhaps have my fellow spa addicts friends do reviews as well). After all, who best to judge a spa than avid customers like me, right?
Pimple that grew a face
Author: admin
Summer has started and I have been sweating profusely. Being active in sports such as badminton and running hasn’t been helping either. And now, my face covered in pimples. I’ve never had more than 3 pimples in my face my whole life. Now, I’m practically a pimple that grew a face. Naturally, since I’ve never been in this state, I simply do not know how to handle this.
I’ve technically, bought 5 products in the last two weeks looking for the best acne treatment. Sadly, none of them seems to work. I was about to give up the search when my friend introduced me to using organic products and by organic, I meant fruits, vegetables and stuff you can make at home.
Magically, on the third day, they began disappearing and in a week’s time they were all dried up and just waiting for my new skin to emerge. I was so happy I went organic. Now, I can enjoy the seat from summer and my sports without having to worry about pimples erupting on my face.
18th birthday videoke-party under the stars
Author: admin
It’s my sister Ruth’s 18th birthday on the 31st! We’re planning to celebrate it at home to make the event more cozy and comfy. We’re deciding on having it at our rooftop or in our garage. Then again, I just remembered that our garage floor is still under renovation, so, it’s going to be an 18th birthday party under the stars!
It’s not going to be a big celebration. Just a few close friends and relatives, with beer, great food, and of course, videoke! I intend to turn the videoke sounds full blast on that night. Time to get my revenge on our inconsiderate neighbors who keeps singing, or rather croaking, in ungodly hours! Ahahaha!
India-na- Jone-ing

Me and two of my best friends decided to go out of the country for 2 weeks. Naturally relatives and friends who heard of this gave us their own “shop-ables stuff”. A scarf for my sister who collects it from all over, a bracelet for my other sister who collects also, strangely my aunt asked for a bunch of hemorrhoid relief, my mom asked for sweets, etc.
We all wanted to go to India and do yoga on their ashram over there. Luckily, we were able to book a flight early and thus we got the ticket at a cheaper price.
So long cruel cruel world! Off we go to India! See you in two weeks!
On getting rid of acne when you’re in mid-20’s
Author: admin
Being in my mid-20’s, I’m quite concerned about my back acne. Generally, when you reach this stage, having acne should be a thing in the past. But for some hare-brained reason, this does not apply to me!
I know there are a lot of adult acne treatments available, but I’d rather not try them unless they’re highly recommended by a friend (should be tried and tested as well). I’m still thinking that this could very well be just due to stress. I hope I’m right. Until then, please feel free to recommend a great back acne treatment!
On dressing up glam rock
Author: admin
Guess what our office Christmas Party Theme was? It’s glam rock! Of course, it’s a given that there’s a price for the best-dressed male and female for the said event.
At times like these, I get to appreciate my sister Anne a little bit more than usual. Her sense of fashion has helped me gain a lot of admirable head-to-toe glances and even several introductions, I tell you. And that Christmas party was no exception. The price people are vying for is a significant cash price, which I want for myself. So I had Anne conceptualize my outfit for that night. She made me purchase a Michael Kors black leather studded zip gloves and 7 for All Mankind black leather ‘Orion’ tall harness boots to complete my glam rock outfit.
I didn’t win the best-dressed female, but I did get nominated in the top four. ^_^ I don’t mind not winning though because the only reason I didn’t get the first place was because they based it on the loudest hoot by the audience. My team in the office was small compared to others, so it was a given that the one with the bigger team will win – the clothes are just secondary. Anyway, everyone, even my boss and his wife acknowledged that I should have won. To me, that was enough. *curtsy*
