Christmas Towing

I’m so glad there are 24 hour towing services even during Christmas! You see, on our way to my Aunt Mel’s house last December 25 for our traditional Christmas dinner, our car broke down. Everyone panicked because we were in the main road when this happened. It’s a good thing we were in a 3-lane road, so the traffic we caused while waiting for help to arrive wasn’t that significant *whew!*

The best thing about the 24 hour towing service is that they got to us really fast! We were able to make it just in time for the Christmas dinner blessing before meal. ^_^

Tis the season to be jolly,
Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparel,
Fa la la, la la la, la la la.

Yipes. It’s the season of parties and reunions. The time where we meet a lot of people and have the opportunity to flaunt ourselves in gay apparel. Then again, at the moment, I’m not pretty confident about the flaunting area. Aside from my loveable curls-that-looks-natural (I would like to thank Shine Girls for this), my love handles are just not cooperating!

Anyway, it’s not the end of the world for me. It’s not as if I’ve gained that much weight. After all, parties and reunions mean tons of free food! Imagine if you’re weight conscious during this time. Tsk tsk tsk… I’m pretty sure that those who are on diet mode will have nightmares of irresistible, mouthwatering food throughout this festive season.

To make sure though that I don’t get Santa’s belly after all the celebrations, I bought a fitness equipment to keep me in shape (if not tone down my belly). My friend Mark and I also signed up for Bikram Yoga next year. That way, we’ll definitely be gorgeous all throughout 2010.

People in our office recently complained about the iced tea tasting like rust. We already tried other brands yet the problem persisted. I did my own investigation to find out the real problem and it turned out that the ice itself tasted like rust.

Many of us may not be aware that those ice making refrigerators have water filters that need to be replaced every few months. This was explained to me by the supplier. So we ordered a brand new filter from the net, part number 4396841.  I even replaced it myself, no sweat. And so the problem was resolved because of my humble efforts.  Actually, at first I thought that the rusty taste was part of the flavor. Hahaa.

This is probably the weirdest tip you’ll ever hear, but you just got to hear me out. If you are the type of person who regularly go on tours every summer, you can get huge discounts when you book right now! Yep you heard me right, travel agencies give big big discounts when you book six months in advance. It may sound outrageous to book almost half a year earlier but we all know that prices soar sky high during the peak summer months and so December is the best time to book, when the beach resorts are so desperate to get customers.

Just now, I talked to my travel agent and she was giving me up to 50 percent discount on miami vacations when I book within the month. I always wanted to be in Miami ever since I saw Will Smith’s “Welcome to Miami” MTV. I’m so excited to tell my friends about this one. We always go on summer tours and I bet they’ll like this one.

Holiday fat season

It’s the holiday season, the season when new designs are released to the market, and the season when all department stores go on sale. It is also the time when we get to eat so much fat. From the Halloween party , to the thanksgiving dinner, then to the Christmas party, Reunions, and New year celebrations. We never stop partying during these times.

Last year, as I remember, I gained thirty pounds in just three months. I needed to take aerobics classes and fat burners just to trim down my waist. What’s worse is, right now I’m again craving for the turkey, and the ham, and the roast beef! I just can’t learn can I?

Anyhow, all ranting won’t do me any good but maybe some suggestions from you readers might help me do something about my cravings and my weight. I’ll be glad to hear your comments as long as they are not spam. Thanks a lot guys.

Pristine, my laptop who celebrated her 1st birthday last October 14, only has one gig of memory. My friend Mark advised that it’s high time we upgrade Pristine’s laptop memory into two gig. I have to agree though. There are a lot of great softwares in the market nowadays that I’m unable to utilize because of laptop memory problem.

According to Mark, it’s cheaper to buy it in cash than to use my credit card. So, I need to wait until next week, when my salary comes in. The good thing about that is, Mark’s willing to buy my current 1 gig memory. That means I’ll be able to save some for the upgrade! ^_^
