Addicted to you

Insomnia, deep watery eyes, yellowish teeth and unable to concentrate - if you have these symptoms, you might be one of us…
Hello. Recently I discovered that I was taking more Coke into my body than water. It started a month ago when the company bought a Coca-cola bending machine as one of the perks in the office. Since then I had a can of Coke in every meal and snack. I drank coke to boost my concentration during deadlines and to keep me awake during overtime. After a few weeks, my body started to deteriorate. I felt weak, always sleepy, and I had a hard time concentrating. I definitely must do something about this.
I asked a friend who works for a drug rehab on tips to successfully withdraw from coke addiction. She have never really treated anyone addicted with coke before but she said it helps to quit gradually. She advised that I take alternatives to coke like iced tea or lemon juice because she suspected me to be addicted in caffeine.
Although the FDA does not say anything about Coke, it warns us of substance abuse which is as deadly as drug addiction. Coke, like beer, is harmful when we take more than enough.

On donating old books
Author: admin
When I was in high school, I was a big fan of romance novels and love stories. Instead of watching TV, i read books which are usually from my dad. When i reached senior high, i got a good paying job so i was able to buy all the books i wanted. But the most unforgettable ones I got are from my classmates who sell books. And not just any ordinary books, they sold an entire collection of Mills & Boons for only $20! Imagine that! They’re second hand of course. Now I have a large collection of books, some of which are piled up in the garage because they wont fit my cabinet anymore. Mother suggested that I donate these books to the city library so that newer generations may be able to read them. I was Hesitant at first (too greedy) but after a few moments of thinking, I felt that donating would give me a sense of accomplishment. Something like being able to pass over knowledge to the younger generations.
Surprise Christmas gift
Author: admin
Only a few days before Christmas and everyone is rushing to the malls to buy gifts. Usually, it is the parents who give gifts to their children. now that i already have a good paying job, I’m planning to book my entire family to one of the famous Toronto hotels as my Christmas present to them! Yeah it is expensive, but it’s been a long time since all of us had time to bond together. I guess a family vacation would definitely be the best Christmas present especially for this year since my sister Anne and brother Raymond are planning to get married next year and are definitely moving out of the house (or even country!) Later I will surprise all of them hahaha. I can’t wait to see their faces when they see their plane tickets!
Boots over sandals

My sister Anne, the artist in our family, loves dressing me up; “You’re my Barbie Doll!” she often gushes whenever she helps me pick out clothes.
Just recently, Anne saw the sad state of my sandals and told me that I ought to ditch those and start buying boots anyway since it’s already the winter season. I was too lazy at that time to have her drag me all the way to the mall, so we ended up browsing the net for THE perfect pair of boots. That’s how we encountered UGG Bailey Button.
Not only does it look classy, it’s actually made from genuine twin-face sheepskin featuring a soft foam insole covered in sheepskin, and has a molded EVA light and flexible outsole for some serious comfort. Now all I have to do is find if there’s a branch near our area… or maybe I’ll just order online since I’m already surfing… hmmm…
Bend and run – the table tennis workout for newbies
Author: admin
While the rest of my friends are busy playing badminton, my brother and I are busy saving up to get one of those ping pong tables. We’ve been planning to setup a table tennis corner in the rooftop for health purposes – we’re getting unwanted excess in our tummies by sitting all day in front of the computer.
Believe it or not, playing ping pong or table tennis is actually hard work – especially for newbies…. Just imagine having to bend down and run after the small, extremely bouncy and seemingly eluding ping pong ball the entire time since you and your partner are having a hard time hitting the ball right. Ahahaha! Been there, done that. It’s a definite workout – bending and running. 0;) You should try it sometime!
All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go

After rehearsing for my 40-minute speech about the Basics of SEO for a prestigious state university last September, my friend Eden, sensing how tensed I am, asked if I’d like to go on a long vacation in her province this coming November.
Normally, I would’ve jumped at the opportunity. But this time around, I am very strict on settling all my debts before the year ends; so I gave her a very wishful but sad, “I can’t”. After finding out my real reason, Eden laughed and said it’s going to be an all inclusive vacations for us since her family owns a place there.
My face lit up at the mention of “all inclusive”. She even furthered that I can bring friends and we need not worry about the food and lodging! Imagine that!
Of course, as you know, I DID jump at the opportunity and even invited my Nth level friend. We’re in fact, going there this week! Mind you, all my bags are packed, I’m ready to go (even though our flight is still on Thursday)! *jumps up and down with glee*
on Guimaras and the sweetest Mangoes in the world
Author: admin
My friend and I are going to Guimaras on the 19th, “the next Boracay” in the Philippines. We’re both pretty excited about it since we’ve heard so many great stories about it, especially about the diversity of flora and fauna within the area.
While browsing, I came across this trivia:
The Guimaras Island is famous for producing the sweetest mangoes in the world. Guimaras mangos are reportedly served at the White House and Buckingham Palace. Guimaras’ largest event of the year is The Manggahan Festival (the Mango Festival).
I’ll definitely try their Mangoes. Hehehe.
We currently don’t have any idea where to stay there though. But we only hope the places we end up with have decent comfort rooms. Preferably with American Standard sinks, shower, and toilet bowl that have hot running water please? My friend would absolutely die without hot running water. It’s like the soul of every accommodation he’s been into. That criterion can be a make or break of his reviews of every accommodation. Seriously.
Anyway, I can’t wait til the 19th! It’s actually going to be my first time to travel with a guy best friend. How cool is that? ^_^
On useless security cameras
Author: admin
It’s funny how offices install video surveillance equipment but do not monitor them. Just last week, one of the LCD’s magically disappeared from the server room and no one seemed to notice until I ran over the inventory. And so I asked the security administrators if they had logs of equipment repairs but they did not find any. Then when I asked if they had the security cameras turned on, they said yes however, it is not being recorded. Hehe. So basically our security system is useless. Anyhow, an investigation took place and it turns out that my boss took the LCD and placed it in his office. That explains why there is no log about that. Oh well.
I’m stuffed
Author: admin
Ahh I’m so stuffed. I just came home from my friend’s birthday party (it was more of a feast actually). It was a great party, lots of dancing, singing, and games too! My friend is half Spanish so the food they served was amazing. I ate so much that I’m having trouble breathing right now, yet I can’t seem to get enough. My friend’s mom even gave me some treats to take home!
Anyhow, it’s a good thing that I am already enrolled in yoga class and i’m taking a weight loss product . At least I won’t need to worry about all the calories I took in earlier. Hehe. I think I won’t be able to sleep until the food in my stomach is digested. Maybe I’ll just blog for a while.
