Shall I get a Vaio or a Mac?
Author: admin
Hey guys, I need some help with something. Feel free to comment on this okay? I think I need to replace my three year old laptop as soon as possible. My HP has already been upgraded several times and I guess it has already reached it’s limit. It can no longer handle my processor intensive applications like Maya and photoshop CS3.
I have done some research in the net and some window shopping in the malls to find the perfect laptop for me. A friend of mine suggested that I get the newest Mac. I have always been a fan of the apple but I’m not sure if I can use one for work. I saw a Sony Vaio in one of the stores and instantly fell in love with it. It has similar specs with the Mac and has the same price but my friend says that Macs are better in graphics processing and 3D rendering (not to mention the angst factor in Macs). So if you were to choose, which will you pick?

Which weight-loss program?
Author: admin
These days, there are so many weight-loss programs to choose from. It’s sometimes confusing to pick which one best suits you. So I came up with a few tips to guide you in choosing.
Before you enroll in any program, seek expert advice. Discuss your condition with your doctor and tell him what you want to happen to your body. Ask questions like:
- Do I need to slim down or lose weight?
- How will weight loss affect my health?
- What changes should I do with my lifestyle?
- What exercises best suits my condition?
- Should I take diet pills or even have surgery?
If you had all those answered, you may now begin your program hunting. Gather as much info and review about the weight loss program of your choice. Compare it with other programs too. If you can talk to someone currently enrolled in the program, better. At least you will get first hand honest and reliable opinion before you enter.
that big flashy thing on the road

The traffic was again heavy on my way home, thanks to the construction of the elevated U-Turn slot near the intersection of one of the busiest roads in the country… As usual, I got the window seat in the bus and blankly stared at the scenes rolling past me while reminiscing and thinking of my best friend.
Then my eyes suddenly hit a big flashy thing, “What the…?!” Near the road was a big digital signage. It IS eye-catching I must admit, but quite distracting to the point of annoying. I’d bet 10 bucks at least one driver got confused because of that signage.
I shiver at the thought of that multiplying along the road… I should hope not.
in dire need of hiatus

I’ve been a workaholic for the past few days. I thrive on being a workaholic… In fact I just got a very rare, “I’m impressed” from our CEO last Tuesday, thanks to my workaholic mode. Unfortunately, my being a workaholic has taken its toll on me. My health is deteriorating.
I need a break; a long, relaxing-luxurious break. Perhaps I’ll book myself into a vegas hotel this weekend. Or maybe sign up for my dream Asian Cruise. I’m not sure. I just need a break.
company picture taking - now & then
Author: admin
Our CEO needed great, lively, professional pictures to be placed in our company website. Consequently, we had a company picture taking this morning.
Everyone was required to come in today – that includes the night shift people. I was surprised at how big the company has become in a short span of four years. You may not believe it, but we started with just four people in May 2004 and we’re now 178. 0:D
It’s the first time we did a company picture taking in years so I met a lot of noobs and reconnected with old colleagues I haven’t seen in a while due to our differences in shifts. It’s amazing to see that some of them actually lost weight; some even dramatically. According to one of my colleague, the dramatic weight-loss of some people was due to diet supplements like Fenphedra. Quite interesting.
Anyhow, I hope I need not resort to that. I’m happy with the way I am. As is. ^_^
a new paint job for my civic?
Author: admin
A friend of mine paid me a visit yesterday. She bragged about her newly pimped car and asked me if I wanted to do some upgrades to mine. Well, my car is an old hatchback civic but it still runs great. It lacks the angst factor though. So we went to her uncle’s car shop to check and see what we can do to my car.
As it turns out, my car’s engine is in still good condition (as with most Hondas). It only needs a good paint job and a change of mags for it to look cool. Her uncle also suggested that I upgrade the coilovers – I think it’s a part of the suspension. “It will make your car run smoothly like it’s on rails” he said. But I guess there’s no need for that now.
I’m still happy with my car’s performance, but I am really interested in having it painted. I guess I have to save up for it, no rush though. Hmmm… how about pink and purple…
Kitchen, kitchen

A stylish, functional and top-of-the-line kitchen is perhaps every woman’s dream. Not everyone gets to have one though. Branded set up kitchens can cost even more than a car! Fashionable sinks or even trendy kitchen faucets can be unreasonably expensive.
Then again a fashionably furnished kitchen should not break your budget, at least I don’t think so. Careful planning is the key to have a fashionable well-designed kitchen. Since it is an often used part of the house, it should withstand wear and tear of continuous use. It should also be easy to work with especially on busy seasons like thanksgiving or the New Year. For those who already have their kitchen however, you can still set ‘em up by getting rid of the unnecessary things in your kitchen (e.g. bulky food processors, large juicers, etc.). Nothing beats a clean and organized kitchen.
