New Year’s Gift
Author: admin
I know people usually give gifts on Christmas, but that’s so common that I’ve decided to give New Year gifts instead. Well add the I-didn’t-have-time-to-go-shopping-before-Christmas excuse. Hehehe.
At the moment, the only ones left without “New Year gifts” are my kendo friends. It’s just so hard to find sports gifts nowadays where almost all malls are comprised of food and clothes stores. Is the present market for health conscious people really that low? I should hope not.
Oh well, I think I’ll just have a personalized tenugui for each of my kendo-ka friends. Now THAT would be memorable, don’t you think? 0;)

a day with the VIP
Author: admin
I couldn’t believe I could experience having breakfast, lunch and dinner in three different locations separated by islands which are miles apart. From the pickup point to the airport and in the areas visited and back to the pickup point, a systematic land transportation was also arranged. This happened to me because I was a member of the VIP entourage where every detail of the trip had been scheduled and coordinated with proper authorities. With this whole day hectic schedule, every second counts and proper timing makes a big difference. The successful trip was the result of a series of conferences.
Today, there’s no need for a long time to prepare and coordinate the details of your business and recreation activities in US, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. Services like the Celebrity Jet will provide the air and land transportation services that you need to make your day happy and fulfilled.
Christmas reunions panic
Author: admin
Christmas celebration for me is usually tantamount to reunions. High school and college alumni homecoming, family reunions… you name it, it’s all lined up in my Christmas break calendar. Even my old neighbors are inviting me to a reunion this break!
This got me into thinking… I need to lose my tummy fats – pronto!
My officemate, who recently and miraculously shrunk into a size six, is currently taking Lipovox, a “Super Foods” supplement. According to her, it helped her burn 400% more fat than just dieting and exercising. To cap it off, it has acne and wrinkle fighting agents. Pretty cool for a food supplement. To ensure a gorgeous figure when I attend those reunions, I just might order a bottle of that capsule this week. What do you recommend?
excellent infrastracture in South Africa
Author: admin
If someone told me that there’s a place in Africa that has an excellent road, rail and air infrastructure comparable to some of the best in the world, I would have rolled on the floor with laughter. I mean, AFRICA?!
Then an article stunned me… there IS a place in Africa that has an excellent road, rail and air infrastructure – South Africa. It’s fascinating to find out that their road networks are well-maintained and signposted. That and the fact that transport in South Africa is geared towards motor vehicles. So if you’re thinking of visiting this country, I suggest you plan a road trip.
Don’t worry about finding accommodation in this place. You can find Hotels in Johannesburg, Sandton, or even Cape Town.

move to a modern building – NOT!
Author: admin
My company recently occupied an entire floor in a new building last December 2. The facilities are fantastic and I love the architectural and interior design of the building. I’m happy with our new workstations as well, especially since we switched from tiles to carpet and we now have professional looking dividers. It all looks very sophisticated.
The new office is in fact almost perfect, except for one thing – the signal of most of our mobile phone networks are close to null and most of the time fluctuating. It’s quite frustrating really. For a building boasting of being modern and high-tech, they definitely should look more into essential features like that.
Anyhow, our HR already informed the building admin about that issue and they said they’ll be working on those as soon as possible. Meantime, I’ll be getting myself a cell phone repeater to make sure I don’t get delayed sms and I’m reachable by anyone at all times especially in case of emergencies. *sigh*
the art of losing
Author: admin
It’s amazing how often we take something for granted, how much we tend to neglect something, that is, until they’re gone. Why is it that some things have to get lost first before we understand their true value?
Last Friday, I had the misfortune of losing my make-up kit pouch which also holds my Social Security ID, Driver’s License and my car insurance policy inside the office. I was really shocked considering that I have always felt secured inside the office. At first, I thought my pouch was just misplaced or someone took a really mean prank on me. But as the end of the day drew near, it became apparent that I DID lose my pouch. I was fine with losing those high-end make-ups, but the IDs?! That’s just too much. I’d have to file for an affidavit of loss, pay for replacement fees, etc.
Anyhow, this morning, the floor manager informed me that the janitor saw IDs on the trash bin. Lo and behold, he was referring to MY SSS ID and Driver’s license! *whew* After cleaning them with alcohol, I immediately secured them and vowed not to bring them anywhere unless I’m driving or they’re required from some application form of some sort. I guess one can never be too sure and secured, huh?
Just don’t wait for something like that to happen before you realize how important something is. I WAS lucky that the person who took that pouch had the decency to “return” my IDs. But then again, luck is not always on our side. Prevention will ALWAYS better than cure.
a many-pocket luggage bag
Author: admin
Traveling can be pretty hard, especially if you have a lot of varied items to bring. Good thing there are a lot of handy-dandy luggage bags to help prevent ourselves from carrying a hundred paper bags of some sort when we travel!
I recommend buying a luggage bag with many pockets. That way, you need go through the hassle of fumbling through your traveling bag whenever you need to find something. Rummaging through ones luggage for something as small as a toothbrush can eat up a lot of your time, and you wouldn’t want that to happen. After all, you’re on a travel trip, not a where’s-my-stuff hunt.
So the next time you decide to ditch your current traveling bag and get a new one, choose one with a lot of compartment and pockets to keep you organized.
