Blackpool or Liverpool?
Author: admin
The Pleasure Beach is a famous theme park which hosts Pepsi Max Big One – one of the largest roller coasters in the UK. What’s great about this theme park is that it’s located in Blackpool (the most popular seaside resort in the UK), Lancashire, England.
Thus, after visiting the theme park, we can go to variety shows featuring entertainers such as Ken Dodd and Roy ”Chubby” Brown, or even get ourselves invited in one of the controversial hen and stag parties. If we’re lucky, we might even get to watch the 8-day Blackpool Dance Festival - the world’s most famous annual ballroom dance competition of international significance, held in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool since 1920. Then again, we could always move the celebration to sometime September so we could catch the Blackpool Illuminations or Festival of Light which consist of a wide variety of light displays arranged along the entire length of the sea front, from lasers, neon, light bulbs, and fibre optics, to searchlights and floodlighting.
Which got me into thinking… we’ll need a lot of dough for this trip. Thus, we’re definitely going to avail of cheap Hotels in England; more precisely, cheap Hotels in Blackpool, to save on accommodation expenses. On the other hand, I saw some really cheap Hotels in Liverpool, the 2008 European Capital of Culture. Liverpool is celebrating its 800th birthday in 2007 which will be marked by a series of exciting events throughout the year. Could be more exciting than going to Black Pool… tough decision…

Trip to Singapore
Author: admin
My Kendo batch mate and friend, Miches, recently went to Singapore to work there. I told her how much I would love to visit her one of these days but I’m not sure about the airfare in Singapore airlines. Miches chuckled and said I need not worry about it because I can avail of cheap flights on websites like Lastminute.com.au. With their current promos, I can ”take off” with the best airfares to Europe and Asia. She added that should I decide on a whim to give her a surprise visit, I can also avail of last minute flights without hassle. I just might visit her before the year ends. ^_^
Lab Equipment 101
Author: admin
Welcome back to my site! Today, I have decided to show you the wonderful world of the laboratory by showing or explaining one of its equipments. Let’s take the electric hot plate as an example.
If you don’t know what a hot plate is, it is a lab equipment used in heating glassware like the Erlenmeyer’s flask. The electric version is more economical and convenient since it’s pretty much made to be reliable and easy to use (also can reduce a LOT of heating time, if you’re really good at looking for hot plates!).
The laboratory reminds me of the sport, baseball. If you’re the pitcher, you got to throw it right and if you’re the hitter, you got to be able to hit the ball and run to first base without being tagged out to score! If you don’t follow instructions in using equipment or performing an experiment, you’ll end up being a complete disaster (and disaster means NO FUN!). So folks, always read and follow instructions before doing anything in the laboratory!
