I like the idea of having time for all the things and persons that matter, like family, friends, work, and personal pleasures. But these days, it is not always an easy or even a possible thing to do. If you’re like me who has to work for about eight hours each day for five days, almost everything else except work seems to take a backstage.

However, there are those lucky people who get to do their favorite recreational activity, get paid for doing it, and even have the time to spend with their friends and family. For example, a friend of mine whose favorite activities are to eat good food and write articles, works as a food critic in a magazine. She spends her time trying out different restaurants, and for each restaurant, she can bring along about five of her friends and family. Isn’t that great? Another friend of mine who sells Corpus Christi real estate says that her work fits her lifestyle and allows her enough time to spend for other things.

This means, such things are possible…

Your stay in the United States of America will not be complete unless you see the Statue of Liberty in person. The Statue of Liberty is the symbol of American freedom. The statue which is a representation of a woman holding aloft a torch that stands at the entrance to New York Harbor was designed by sculptor Frederic Auguste Bartholdi.

If you want to see more of the historic places and tourist spots in New York, follow the advice of my Aunt Virgie. She highly recommended availing of the service being offered by CitySights NY (http://www.citysightsny.com) so as to maximize the limited time during short vacation. My other relatives who adhered to her advice had so many exciting and memorable experiences in New York to share. What is unique in this CitySights NY is the use of a very comfortable double decker that will give you a view at a vantage position as you move from one place to another. This sightseeing company has daily trips to Boston, Washington DC and Philadelphia.

You too will have those experiences and don’t forget to bring your video and digital cameras to document the Statue of Liberty in person, as well as the other places in New York.

it’s summer time!

I’m planning another escapade for my summer vacation. I’d like to go visit my aunt and her family, particularly my cute little cousins and their interesting stories. Also, I’d like to go to their place since they practically live beside the sea and the place is quite secluded. They have this gated wall, and when you open the gate you’ll find a wide expanse of sand and sea. I’d love to do the usual things I do when I’m on a beach – swim, scuba dive, pick sea glasses and sea shells, and build sand castles.

It was also there that I met a guy who designs baby cribs and other wood furniture for a living. He takes his inspiration from living beside the sea. A little odd, but I think it works for him since he’s been able to create the most wonderful designs I’ve seen.

I am so visiting them!

on maintaining good posture

When playing in sports, doing work, or doing whatever it is you do everyday, remember to maintain good posture. Not only does it help keep your body healthy, it will also make you look good! It can help you have a light aura and makes others want to approach you and be friends.

If you don’t maintain proper posture, you can have many diseases like scoliosis. I met a lady once. She was about six feet tall, and she was pretty but she was slouching. It decreased her beauty and it made me have the urge to maintain good posture at all times!

If you think you can’t do it on your own, try buying a posture corrector. Not only does it help you maintain good posture, it also helps you reduce back strain. So folks! Remember to maintain good posture! Alright?

music to go

A few weeks ago, a good friend of mine gave me a new mp3 player. He explained that he chose such gift because he wanted me to have company wherever I go, and particularly when he’s not around.

Now I have more than 1,000 songs and lots of videos and pictures and games with me. I take it to practically all the places I go. I have started taking it along with me when I go out for a jog and when I exercise, and it has really been helpful in keeping me happy about exercising.

Also, it has been particularly useful for me when I travel, since it takes away much of the boredom and stress in commuting. Travelling becomes more pleasant for me when I hear my favorite music playing.

I’m so glad such lightweight and useful electronics are available in my generation. Imagine having to carry around a cassette player, cassette tapes, and batteries when jogging!

“Smile makes you look younger, while prayer keeps you stronger”, this is the favorite quotation of my Mom, who had been educated in a Catholic school. Today at the age of 58, people will often complement her, “You don’t look your age”. Would you like to know her secret?

Mom’s secret is the combination of smile and prayer. But unknown to others, Mom has a top secret weapon. She is now using an anti-aging product which she bought online after searching on the top wrinkle cream. She always carries this in her bag where ever she goes, as if she could not live without it. Every night, I could see her applying the magic cream. Aside from this, she makes sure she has at least five servings of fruits and vegetables everyday, and goes walking with Dad regularly. She goes to bed early and wakes up early too. Do these and you will also look younger and feel stronger inside and outside.

learning the hard way

My professor told us that experience is a hard or difficult teacher, for it gives the test first before the lesson. He further said, to learn from your experience is good. However, it is best to learn from the experience of others. He even emphasized that we could not live long enough to experience everything to learn from them. As such, let us learn from the experience of my Mom in her travels.\r\n

\r\nMom is always attending seminars outside the country. In her previous travels, she encountered problems whenever she retrieves her luggage at the airport. She found them damaged and in worst situation, her things were placed in a different box and sad to say some items were lacking. Why did it happen? Mom bought ordinary luggage with poor quality. Now, she has the peace of mind whenever she travels, for she bought the high quality luggage from the Briggs and Riley Baseline Collection Garment Bags and Duffels. There are no more worries. Let us learn from my Mom\’s experience, let us learn not the hard way.\r\n

badminton for fitness

Because I’ve been gaining a noticeable amount of weight (and fat) lately, I decided to be more involved in sports activities. I plan on playing badminton again, but I think that would have to wait until I get the cheap eyeglasses I ordered. I definitely wouldn’t want the costly prescription glasses I recently bought to be broken by a flying badminton ball. So, I ordered a pair of quality but inexpensive glasses that I could use particularly when I am playing badminton. I think I got a good deal – with warranty, lens edge polishing, free anti-scratch and UV coating, and also free lens cleaning cloth and case.

I got another good deal with my uncle, who offered to give me free badminton lessons - more on for my retraining anyway. He said that by the time he’s done teaching me, being a professional badminton player would be a walk in the park for me.

Can’t wait to start!

a travel to italy

Today one of my friends told me about her plan to go to Naples, Italy by the end of this month. My friend told me that it would only be for a short vacation, about one week at the most. I’m really happy for her because I know it has long been her dream to travel to Italy. However, I just didn’t expect it would be this soon!

My friend loves pizza and pasta so much, and she’s so excited to be going to the place that produces the best pizza and pasta in the world. By the way, she did invite me to go with her to Italy. Though I would very much love to accompany her, I don’t think I can afford it. In addition to my savings, I still would have to get a cash advance loan to have sufficient money for the trip. Well, maybe next time…

money problems

I am a person who’s very interested in sports, recreation and travel. These areas are pretty much expensive. For example, when you play a sport, of course you need the proper equipment, shoes, clothes and stuff. You can’t travel to various places without money.

These reasons got me thinking about fast cash payday loans . A friend recommended it to me once, but I haven’t given it much thought until now. I thought that maybe a loan with a low interest rate would be good, but I’m not quite sure.

Comments regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!
